The unreleased throwback featured suede material covered in “University Blue” flair across its whole upper, similar to an Air Jordan 4 launched in April 2023. The arrangement is momentarily broken up by mesh and TPU components, but the spiky construction takes the show from the impending Air Jordan. The outsole is underfoot and features an ice blue surface that works well with the named University of North Carolina-inspired color, while the top of the tongue retains its 1990 design’s bright silver finish. The traditional marking on the spine is swapped out for a contemporary Team Jumpman patch, and the inside lining adopts a mesh construction to refresh the look of Tinker Hatfield’s third Michael Jordan signature shoe.
